07 Jul Greatly Our Deity

Greatly a troubled deity groaned in malaise
His goblet hovered and poured forth all fears
Now is the time to crawl toward the crown
This hour of hours for which He came, down
Rang an incessant bell in His bleeding ears
Blending a note grateful and grieved for days
When He looked to a sky blotted sunless
Uttering what God weaved in the fabric of He
And nothing ever came as so painful or so true
As God pleading to God, I love You
Behold the tribunal of a Trinity
Please Abba, anything else but this
Love took a nail to the span of latitude
To make all sufferings come cruciform
His perfect flesh felt each stripe perfectly
A destruction befitting the price of eternity
Greatly the deity gasped and withheld storms
His last breath drowns every grief and gratitude
