I’m Not Feeling Human

When flying over mountains and below the dead
The spirals sparkle in dark skies instead

I’m not feeling as human as I once did
Fragments of the day
Flash and scorch the night

Take your might, your love, your life for granted
When it disappears
Nothing left is right

Among foliage of eccentric tendency
What is truly yours was never meant to be

I’m not feeling quite so human tonight
There isn’t any air
But I can still breathe

What your guilt, your gut, your luck, your insight
Fold into the wood
Etched in all the leaves

What parcel of dreams do winds of sleep
Carry to the souls that make them all unique?

I don’t feel so human anymore
Crystal symmetry
Once my body melts

All your thoughts, your things, your peace, your power
Dust it was made
Now it’s something else
