29 Sep The Threshing Floor of Ornan

Of kings who brokered judgment’s curse on all
His people paid in full the mortal price
To heed the blue-jays of destruction’s call
To number, number God’s allotment twice
And weighed for cold desire ever-more
His people paid in full the mortal price
For there the nations form a threshing floor
Aloft in terrors hewn for treacheries
And weighed for cold desire ever-more
The burdens sealed in heaven’s treasuries
And woes for nations sunk into the Pit
Aloft in terrors hewn for treacheries
An angel God deployed by holy writ
Who wields affliction, swathed in raven’s wings
And woes for nations sunk into the Pit
Arraigned for judgment when the vulture sings
Of kings who brokered judgment’s curse on all
Who wields affliction, swathed in raven’s wings
To heed the blue-jays of destruction’s call
