Where had Barabbas gone once he was freed

Did he repent from his ways, sent to live his latter days
Did the devil take him to die in his deed
This wilderness swallowed him, the devil followed him
Maybe he was marked like Cain and his seed
Cursed and sent east, he wandered till deceased
For the fate of Barabbas, none have agreed
“Son of a father” because — it’s all that he ever was
