04 Dec Rime of the Wraith, or Pillars of Gaza

As dark as dark adorns the comely wraith
A violent ripple thrashed its body round
About the night of nights, mine night of faith
As suffered ills endured without a sound
In skies shuddering, gorged on cold and fear
A violent ripple thrashed its body round
And thus it goes abounding far and near
Its desperation drowned moments in time
In skies shuddering, gorged on cold and fear
An ageless melancholy set to rime
Assailed the intellect bereft and slow
Its desperation drowned moments in time
Debased tormentor, singing softly, know
I always feared as sad a night as this
Assailed the intellect bereft and slow
For all unfaithful stole of Death a kiss
As dark as dark adorns the comely wraith
I always feared as sad a night as this
About the night of nights, mine night of faith
