20 Jan Ave Maria – “In the Dark I See a Light”
Midnight rains tap on her room
Undisturbed, at her loom
Weaving angels in tapestry
In the dark by the sea
Aroma of midnight rains
Floods the air, fills the veins
A man in linen appears suddenly
In the dark by the sea
Beloved Mary, star over the sea
Cornerstone of every constellation
Shadows grow, but not over me
In hope sprung illumination
Wailing wraithfuls in the mist
Waves of ink crash, bow, twist
And in the dark I can see a light
Waters roll onboard, I hold on tight
Overhead the skies let out a hiss
And as stars fall into the abyss
Shaking the pillars of the earth
The One born in a virgin birth
Our God has purposed salvation
Through one woman of His nation
The Eternal One will not play dice
To reopen the gates of Paradise
Beloved Mary, star over the sea
From depths a shimmer arose
Fear comes, but not for me
In the Aster Theotokos
Over the spirits of vicious sea
I charted course with the Rosary
And in the dark I can see her light
To strengthen me to hold it tight
