Where the Stars See

Pray I for the end of everything,
When us poor, us empty come higher.
Hear! how our sisters also sing
For the want of birds, rivers’ desire,
The lines of times, purpose of place
Where the stars see the sunlight’s face.

Fear no nore’aster, no scorpion-sting,
When your spirit leaves, it returns again.
Hear! how silence, like church-bells ring
To call its Friend, the Joy of men,
That justice comes, so shall grace
Where the stars see the sunlight’s face.

So take courage, my brother,
And take courage, my son
Until the work of the Lord is done.

The end of one begins another,
Come quickly, Maker, are not you mine?
See! in tapestry of a cosmic color,
From the worm to man is light divine
Which searches for, through outer space
Where the stars see the sunlight’s face.
