05 Oct Perfect Mornings
Fewer pearls permeate greengrass seas
Where climes depart and fairweather flees
But the diver sights not in its vacancies
The minnow-mites, the water-kites
The dragon-eels or coral lights
His eyes belong to his imagined pearl
Beneath the waters beneath the world
And all about this heartless, chartless place
(Simply consider the hardships we two face)
Shell-buttoned in lattice and silverlace
You are not one, not either the sum
But each pearl found in glisten of sun
Where climes depart, no desire could match
No snow could bestow and no fire, catch
