A Universe That Bleeds Demands a Bleeding King

Man from birth emerges fighting, naked;
Steeped in blood, the law of God is battle,
Not as men practice to saber-rattle,
Not as men who war on men in hatred;

Fallen angels taught and man was troubled,
Turning war to contests over ashes;
All the world in ash and ember-flickered clashes
Mock God’s galactic violence redoubled.

Altar raised of small agonies’ vapor,
All exists by law for anguished labor.

Trust in this and not the peace of liars:
Violent cause reigns with yet-completed worth.
None are fit to rule the tortured Earth
Save for Christ crucified crowned in briars.

Time before the altar held in stasis:
Etched in garden agony, Christ pleading;
After this was only gasps and bleeding –
Tremble! all exists to serve its basis —

God created Earth and pain entangled,
All for one moment of love, triangled.
