31 Jan Take It Too Far

It’s never too hot or cold when you’re living it bold, windows rolled down in the car
The road pours and I think, that’s just his type of drink and you can’t find it in a bar
If you won’t play to win you might as well not begin, but he’s gotta take it too far
He’s lived it wrong and he’s right, he plays it black and white like he strums a lazy guitar
So when he’s gotta take a stand, he just can’t ever tell his wife
She won’t understand why a good man
Has to take a gamble with his life
Didn’t invent working late, but my patent style at this state, it’s not just the money for me
My heart’s picking up speed, you wanna know if I bleed, try to cut me and you’ll see
Each of the motor oil forces that I never tell my wife
Courses bone-deep like driven horses
It’s worth a shot with my life
They can detract from the way I walk and I say, I’m still gonna take it too far
God pours life neat so I’m reclining the seat, windows down in the car
