Simon will you walk with me, stir and gant but watch and see
I’ll ask once not to fall asleep – where you have sown I must reap
Hardened goes the air tonight mapping heaven’s ceiling light
Sprawling star solemnity o’er gates of ivy numbered three (eyes undimmed, hair ungreyed)
First the chains and then the bands, unique anthem each demands
Here the pitch will riddle post fell like flame o Holy Ghost
Mine were traipsing darkened dens – soul and soul and soul commends
Troubles run the silent line so at hour nine you will be mine
A sorrow pours and then it pours so wash my feet as I wash yours
Sing with me while you still live and ask of me and I will give
Fiat faith and a feeble friend sung by thrones and the wren
Garden water like broken glass – wormwood urn contains the past (death undone, man unslain)
