More Than All of These

Love is more than tenderness,
Greater is love than gentleness,
Not alone is it kind’s perfection,
Soft passion, burning affection,
More is love than a sum of parts,
In the soft plug of our hearts
Love is partly understood
By desire and willing the good;
Love is red, blue and also green,
And sweeter than all saccharine,
Mightier than mercy and might,
Like joy but not just delight,
It is found in faith, drawn by deeds,
Carried light on patient breeze,
And love is more than all these:
Awesome heaven, unplumbed seas.
