Little Bear

Our little bear is hibernating and will awaken in the spring
So mama bear’s checking twice to go over everything
We can move to a bigger cave, but not our cave forever
Papa bear is working hard to bring it all together
His paw can’t feel the kicks but his heart does inside
Warm with knowing that God will provide
Mama bear is anxious, and papa bear is tired
Papa bear and mama bear don’t have all they desired
But we have you, little bear, and you are all we need
Our little bear is hibernating and will awaken in the spring
But papa bear gets grumpy and mama bear is worrying
And little, little bear doesn’t seem to make a sound all day
And mama bear and papa bear are too scared to ever say
That the last trimester rolls like thunder this December
The winter seems much shorter than either of us remember
Will every problem disappear, will we be enough for little bear
But even without a name we have kept you in our prayer
And you can’t speak up but we’re seeing you
Scratch your head to find a way to tell us two
That we have you, little bear, and you are all we need
