Apollyon Chained (The Resurrection)

No Lamb prescribed on Yom Kippur until
Blood of the Son had sprinkled Holy Cover,
And might He harrow Hell, the Father will
Receive triumphant Christ; His Name, confer.

The Son of Man had never place to rest
Until He lay again in manger-cave,
And rose in glory clothed in death’s arrest,
Apollyon chained, bearing captive the grave.

Prophecy etched by what the Lord has sworn
To all who perish seeking truer birth,
Announce to men: salvation comes by morn,
Behold: Jesus transfigured walks the Earth!

No stone, O God, is too heavy for Thee;
If this is not love, so never shall love be.
