Today was once a stranger

As far away as the sun
Today grew more familiar
As far as what will be done
 
And so when today approached
We knew more about today
And then sooner than it had come
We knew it had gone away
 
Today was once a friend
For now it has daylight yet
Today becomes a stranger
For now all of us forget
